About Us

What is Stuffed Panda Studios?

Stuffed Panda Studios was originally founded in 2007 as a Japanese inspired painting studio. We specialized in creating handmade and painted folding screens, boxes, chopsticks, and more. The Stuffed Panda and family were frequently spotted selling their wares at anime conventions across the Midwest.

One thing always leads to another, and few anime fans can avoid being swept up in the world of cosplay. I quickly became addicted to costuming, and was interested in fursuits and mascots after creating the white wolf from Princess Mononoke as a quadsuit. Shortly after, a good artist alley friend of mine asked me to make Kon from Bleach and became my first commissioner in 2008. Everything moved very quickly from there on out.

Today Stuffed Panda Studios is devoted to making cosplays, fursuits, and mascots. I greatly enjoy what I do, and can still be found traveling to all sorts of anime conventions across the USA. ;) Check out our convention schedule for dates, and don’t be afraid to stop us and say hi! Can’t make it to a con but want to see more of the Panda and crew? Then check out our other homes on the web at Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Deviantart, and FurAffinity.

Now we know what the studio is, but who is Stuffed Panda?

The Stuffed Panda, Pandacat, or Panda, is my fursona and company mascot. In short, she represents me and all my craziness. Originally Panda was…well, a panda. A purple panda to be exact. In my rush to have a banner made for my first artist alley appearance, I grabbed the first acceptable drawing I could find in my sketchbook. The plushie panda sitting in a bowl of ramen was inked, colored, and used as my mascot through 2009.

I, Panda the cat, am a twenty something year old artist who just loves to sew and paint. I graduated in 2010 with a B.F.A. in Studio Art Fibers and took off running with my business. My likes include but are not limited to mushroom and artichoke pizza, cats,  anime, taekwondo, the color green, nice people, sewing, and FTWing. I dislike carrots, annoying people, student loans, playing sports that are not tennis or taekwondo, and people who park strangely in parking lots.
